Explore how your identity — whether shaped by race, gender, queerness, disability, or lived experience — has informed what trust, safety, and connection mean for you

Engage with prompts written specifically for your community, so you don't have to translate your experience to find yourself on the page

Move through reflection at your own pace, using writing, sketching, voice notes, or quiet contemplation — however your body leads

You deserve a healing space that already knows your name.

Too much of the wellness and journaling world asks us to fit our stories into frameworks that were never built for us. Generic prompts assume neutral bodies, neutral histories, neutral pain — and that invisibility is its own kind of harm. This toolkit was created differently. The Identity-Specific Journaling Toolkit: Relational Healing & Trust offers dedicated sections for LGBTQ+ folks, racialized communities, men and masculine-identifying people, those living with disability or neurodivergence, and anyone navigating accountability and repair. Each section holds the specific contours of your experience without asking you to shrink, explain, or perform for the page. You will be guided to explore questions like: What has shaped your sense of safety in expressing who you are? How has your body's wisdom informed your limits and needs? What does trust look like when you've had reason not to trust? How do you separate shame from responsibility — and what does repair look like for you? This is not about answering perfectly or filling every prompt. It is about letting your thoughts come alive in words as you develop a deeper relationship with your own resilience, values, and voice.

About Breelove

This toolkit was created by the care team at Breelove.ca. At Breelove.ca, we offer more than care — we create it in community. Our practice centres Black, Indigenous, racialized, queer, and other marginalized communities in the Maritimes, while holding space for all bodies throughout Turtle Island and Canada. Our approach combines clinical counselling with community wisdom: trauma-informed support, anti-oppressive frameworks, and real tools for emotional resilience. We offer 1:1 therapy, live support groups, self-paced healing courses, digital downloads like this one, and a free online community where you're never expected to heal alone. Because we believe that we each deserve to be well — and to be witnessed as we get there.
