Identify what drains you, what restores you, and what rhythms of rest are actually accessible to your life

Explore boundaries, sustainability, and collective care as part of your healing — not extras

Build a gentle, personalized life plan that centres your nervous system, humanity, and wellbeing

You deserve a life that includes you in it — not just your productivity.

Many of us learned to survive by staying busy, staying available, and overriding our own needs to keep functioning. Over time, that rhythm can start to feel normal — even when it's costing us. Not because we're broken, but because survival often required exactly that. This workbook is not about building the perfect routine. It's an invitation to gently ask: what would it look like to build a life that actually holds me? Through reflection, body-based check-ins, and practical planning pages, you'll explore what rest looks like in your specific body, culture, and circumstances — and begin mapping a path toward something more sustainable. Inside, you'll find: A grounded introduction to what a rest-centered life actually means (and what it doesn't) Reflection prompts for noticing what this healing work has brought up for you A body-based check-in to track what you're holding right now Reflections around what drains and what restores you Explorations into rest rhythms, boundaries and sustainability, and cultural or collective rest Finish with a Rest-Centered Life Plan — a gentle intention-setting page for carrying this work forward This workbook was designed as an integration tool — something to return to after doing deeper healing work, or to begin with if you're just starting to name what you've been carrying.

About Breelove

This resource, like all offerings in our digital library, was co-created by the Breelove collective: a team of culturally rooted, trauma-informed practitioners, drawing from real moments in real healing spaces. At Breelove.ca, we offer more than care, we create it in community. Our practice centers Black, Indigenous, racialized, queer, and other marginalized communities in the Maritimes, while holding space for all bodies throughout Turtle Island and Canada. Our approach combines clinical counselling with community wisdom: trauma-informed support, anti-oppressive frameworks, and real tools for emotional resilience. We offer 1:1 therapy, live support groups, self-paced healing courses, digital downloads like this one, and a free online community where you’re never expected to heal alone. Because we believe that we each deserve to be well, and to be witnessed as we get there.

You do not have to earn your right to slow down. This workbook is here when you're ready.

A rest-centered life isn't built all at once. It's built in small, honest moments of choosing yourself. This workbook holds space for that process — wherever you're starting from. Access for free in your Breelove Wellness library right now.
